Adam Barger - Head Coach
Adam Barger joins Tribe Hockey in 2018. Adam grew up playing roller hockey in Pennsylvania (the Pittsburgh side!) and currently enjoys playing rec league ice hockey at the Tribe's home ice in Yorktown.
His coaching experiences in high school hockey and soccer inform his approach to sportsmanship and team-building as essential ingredients for a successful club. Adam is and alumnus and current employee of the College of William & Mary. He can be found on campus in Morton Hall where he leads the eLearning initiatives team in their efforts to effectively integrate technology into teaching and learning as well as develop hybrid and online courses.
A longtime Pittsburgh Penguins fan, Adam appreciates the community and heart that comes with a dedicated hockey team. Tribe Hockey is a great organization to develop these on-and-off ice characteristics.
Nick Larson '20 - Assistant Coach
Nick also took on his role with Tribe Hockey in 2018. Originally from Lynchburg, VA, Nick is a die hard Chicago Blackhawks fan and grew up playing about every sport imaginable. He's a government major at the College and is also involved in Campus Recreation, where he works as a trip leader for the Tribe Adventure Program.
Part of the decision to have a Nick as an assistant coach was made in accordance with our team belief that our organization should be student managed in as many aspects as possible.
Daniel Miller - Assistant Coach
Daniel also joins Tribe Hockey in 2018 as a Freshman at William and Mary. Although he currently resides in Arlington, VA, he lived in Massachusetts for the bulk of his childhood and is a proud Boston Bruins fan. In addition to his studies, Daniel hopes to grow as a an assistant coach and help lead the team to a championship.
Adding Daniel to the coaching staff further promotes the team belief that our organization should be student managed in as many aspects as possible, and that the team is open and welcoming to all those who have a desire to help out.
